FIST PEER TUTOR PROGRAMME Trimester 3, 2017-2018

Dear Students of FIST,

the SAAC (Student Affairs & Alumni Committee) of FIST will be organizing the FIST Peer Tutor programme for Trimester 3, 2017-2018 which will start from week 4 or week 5 onwards of Trimester 3. Students who volunteer for the programme as Peer Tutors and carry out 2 remedial classes of at least 2 hours each, will each receive a book voucher & a certificate of appreciation from the Dean of FIST. In addition, SAP points will be given to these student volunteers as well. To qualify as a Peer Tutor for any FIST subject on offer in the programme, the student must have taken the subject previously and have obtained a grade A or above for the subject. The subjects for both Foundation and Undergraduate levels that have been proposed to be offered in the FIST Peer Tutor programme for Trimester 3, 2017-2018 are as provided below:

 

FIST Foundation Level

(1)         PTM 0145 – Trigonometry

(2)         PCM 0235 – Calculus

 

FIST Undergraduate Level

(1)             TWC 3231 – Mobile and Wireless Communications

(2)             TTP 3121 – TCP/IP Programming

(3)             TNS 3131 – Network Security and Management

(4)             TCS 2251 – Computer Security

(5)             TCP 3151 – Integrative Programming and Technologies

(6)             TAC 3121 – Applied Cryptography

(7)             TIT 3131 – Information Theory

(8)             TCC 3141 – Cloud Computing

Selection of Peer Tutors for each subject on offer for the Peer Tutor programme will be on a first-come first-served basis.
