In general, CUCC has been set up to conduct both theoretical and applied research in ICT sub-domains related to the aspects of:
  • Security System
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Signal Processing
  • Emergent Information Technology
  • Distributed Computing
  • Information Systems
  • Educational Technology
  • Life Sciences

On the other hand, Centre for Information Security (iSec) focuses on the following information security sub-domains:
  • Biometrics Security
  • Cryptography
  • Network Security and
  • Cyber Law

The members of iSec come from various faculties in the university. The cross-faculty collaboration allows members to share common values and commitment to continue developing quality and cost-effective solution for information security. The cross-discipline research is devoted to improve information infrastructure and provide security and privacy in information communication systems.

A Special-Interest Group (SIG) at faculty level, recently formed was Intelligent Cloud Computing (ICC). ICC was formally known as Thundercloud Research Laboratory that initially and informally formed in 2013, Faculty of Information Science & Technology (FIST), Multimedia University. ICC SIG has been established with the aim of cultivating ideas and developing research in the area of cloud computing and Internet of Things (IoTs). The group is focusing on four important aspects of cloud computing and IoTs.
  • Advanced Computing
  • User Experience
  • Computer Vision
  • Analytics
This group comprises members from different areas of specialization, including communications and networking, security, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition and data mining.

The details of these three research centers can be found in:
